| Yeah, you probably could. Haven't done it myself, but seeing as everything's on an internal SD card, there's no real risk if you back it up first, or use a different card completely.

| No, sorry, you cant just change the advmame file.
If I remember I did some code that reads the bluetooth controller and sends the presses to mame, however I only did the code for 1 joystick.

| Hmmm Interesting. I didn't actually write to a different SD card but the problem might be that one sd card is slightly a different size sector wise than the other one.
Some have slightly more sectors ... |

| you'll probably need root to access the files or the data which is stored in data/data if i remember.
Vtech started to disable root access in later firmwares.
