I maybe late to the party, but i have made pictures of the inside of the InnoTab 1 machine:

You can clearly see the connector for the innotab 1 cartridges (only the plastic shell casing is different from the versions 2+)
and finally the CPU which is ARM based from the Nuvoton company, and the flashmemory is supplied by Toshiba.
I guess with a ARM disassembler we can hack further into the binaries...
