Anyone thought of doing this? It shouldn't be too risky to pull off since the internal storage is removable, and assuming that you can mount the /system partition and swap APKs, libraries and frameworks from a tablet running off the same Rockchip SOC as the Innotab Max, it would be theoretically possible to convert it to a regular tablet with none of the VTech bloatware kicking in.
Yeah, you probably could. Haven't done it myself, but seeing as everything's on an internal SD card, there's no real risk if you back it up first, or use a different card completely.

Basically what I did with the Epic was I replaced /app, /priv-app and /framework with equivalent ones from a similar ROM. If an app or two crashes or malfunctions checking logcat and looking for faulty libs may help. I am just wondering if you could pull that one off for science and see if the Max can run AOSP.
