Unable to "superuser"
#1
Hello.

I have a recent storio Max, with android 4.2.2, kernel version 3.0.36+, model number rk30sdk_rtl8723.

I followed Mick's instruction to have the "max debug mode", and it worked. I could go to the android settings, enable USB debug mode, and now i can communicate with the storio using ADB.

I still have some problems :
-> first, i cannot "superuser", because when i enter "su", it tells me "su: permission denied"
I think that all my problems come from that.
In another mick's post, i saw a way to dump/modify/restore the device, using a "sudo .....", but i cannot sudo neither :

shell@android:/ $ sudo
/system/bin/sh: sudo: not found
127|shell@android:/ $ ls /sbin
opendir failed, Permission denied

I have a default.prop file mentionned in the other post with ro.secure=1 :

Code:
shell@android:/ $ cat default.prop
#
# ADDITIONAL_DEFAULT_PROPERTIES
#

persist.sys.usb.config=none

-> the second problem is that i can install apk, but it does not work.
using adb, i installed aptoide, and sidebar lite.
I can see those application in the android settings, but it does nothing on the storio.
I could even create a aptoide account using "add account"
I don't see the apps in the icons, and it does nothing when i try to make  the sidebar appear.

Does anyone have a solution to solve those 2 problems ?

Is this by chance a newer firmware revision? They may have tightened up following the recent Vtech breach.
